Safety at Sea training events have been held jointly by the Sea Scouts, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for over a decade in California, Texas, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and other locations. 2018 will be the fifth time here is San Diego.
The purpose of this event is to provide Sea Scouts and their leaders with an opportunity to receive instruction and hands-on experience in a variety of boating safety skills and equipment that is generally unavailable. Activities currently under consideration include flares, helo ops, dewatering pumps, damage control, survival suits, hypothermia, and firefighting.

WHO: | Sea Scouts and Leaders Open to Venturing youth and adults as space permits. Space is limited to 70 youth. All youth in attendance must have BSA registered adult leadership |
COST: | TBD per person Includes program supplies, lunch and a T-shirt (XXL add $2.25, 3XL and $4.25) Registrations received after April 1are not guaranteed a t-shirt. Requests for refunds must be received in writing by April 1. |
