Program

The SDIC Sea Scout Committee conducts programs for Sea Scout ships as well as packs, troops, teams, and crews:

 

Sail Fleet: 

San Diego – Imperial Council has a sailboat available for Ships, Troops, Crews, Teams, and Packs to rent for exciting bay and ocean adventures.

Your program can include, but is not limited to:

  • A day and/or night sail on San Diego Bay and/or Pacific Ocean
  • A sail from San Diego Bay to Mission Bay for an overnight at anchor or sail to Oceanside or Catalina or . . . .READ MORE

Safety at Sea:

Safety at Sea training events have been held jointly by the Sea Scouts, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for over a decade in California, Texas, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and other locations.  San Diego has conducted a Safety at Sea event every even year since 2010.  Next to be held in 2020.  READ MORE

Sea Scout Academy:

Education on the water – Sea Scout Academy is a Sea Scout learning experience directly related to Sea Scouts advancement and the development of youth leadership. We will teach advancement skills such as radio procedures, rules of the road and navigation. Regardless of the specific skills a youth chooses to learn, all participants will spend time sailing and applying their skills.  Next to be held in 2021.   READ MORE
